By the way, this makes the new product only a little more compact when compared with the original console.

For example, while playing Forza Horizon 3 during the testing process, there were no difficulties with skipping frames, but no doubt the toy looks much more spectacular on the console marked "X".

Today, media giants such as Netflix, Amazon Video, YouTube and the unique Vudu and Hulu from the USA have 4K versions of their own programs that are available in the Xbox One Store, which should satisfy any user's needs. During testing, there were no difficulties with playing streaming content. In general, the set-top box does not take up much usable space, it works relatively quietly, and the drive, whose capacity is 1 TB, makes it possible to download a huge number of games.

Games Library

That's at what stage the novelty will divide gamers. Since the set-top box does not have an optical drive, users will not be able to play their favorite projects.

What are the solutions to this issue? At first, the console is released with three toys, which is great, but in addition to the aforementioned games, users are given the opportunity to purchase digital modifications of any projects for new items in the company store, or start using Xbox Game Pass.

As some gamers have noticed, the novelty is a good partner for Game Pass, and users have the necessary amount of memory in order to download any games from the service library. In addition, not so long ago, Microsoft signed an agreement that gives gamers the opportunity to experience the new Xbox Game Pass Ultimate service for only 65 rubles for a month.

When the One S version arrived 3 years later with the branded Xbox One, it provided users with a compact and near-silent, high-quality console. After some time, it, in fact, turned out to be an Xbox system, but since that time, the productive Xbox One X set-top box has managed to come out, offering gamers to play in 4K format with HDR support.

To be sure, the launch of the Xbox One X raised the bar for consoles, and while that didn't make the One S a necessary back-up, it clearly highlighted the fact that the One S system was already outdated. It is for this reason that it is a little unclear why Microsoft decided to make the modification S without a drive, which in reality is the same set-top box - just without a drive.
