There is an opinion that only Apple offers novelties and additional features for mobile phones, but recently everything has changed. Yes, now many phones are virtually identical in terms of functions and characteristics, and almost the only difference is the price of the device. However, Vivo offers an alternative solution - this is the new Vivo Nex S in the options: Vivo Nex S 8/128 GB and 8/256 GB.

Appearance and operation of the device

The design is said to be copied from the iPhone X.

The effect of a three-dimensional scene is given by the main speaker, which is located on the bottom of the display. The top of the case has a headphone jack and an amplifier.

The front camera of the device has been moved to the retractable module. When you open the Camera app, this module is activated automatically. The process takes a few seconds. In the first days of use, all users of such a miracle of technology admire.

An interesting feature of the front camera is that it is hidden in the smartphone and pops out when you need to take a selfie. Google Android 8.1 is installed as software, as well as an additional Funtouch OS 4.0 shell. The software component almost completely copies the iPhone both in terms of filling and design. There are also many flaws in the settings window.

Since the settings are scattered in a chaotic manner, you have to get used to the phone for several days in a row. Also inconvenient is the fact that the settings menu pops up at the bottom of the display. This is an inconvenience, because during operation you can accidentally touch this menu, which is not so easy to close.

Frameless screen without notch

Vivo has made the screen area larger than the iPhone. For the Vivo Nex S model, it occupies 91.4% of the phone's area, while for the iPhone X, only 82.9%.

Such a screen looks great, because it occupies almost the entire front side of the device. The screen simultaneously performs the function of a speaker, since there is no separate cell for it.Because of this, it is difficult to set up good sound quality so that the interlocutor on the other end of the wire is not heard by strangers.

Invisible fingerprint scanner

With this feature, Vivo surprised everyone. They hid the fingerprint scanner behind the screen. To unlock the device, you need to touch the display with your finger. Finger recognition works well and is almost flawless. With 10 clicks, the smartphone recognizes the owner 7 times. Very rarely even refuses to read the finger.

This year, such an innovation is only being introduced into phones. But already in 2019, mass production of devices with scanners located under the screen is expected. Of all the functions that are implemented in Vivo Nex S, only the scanner works quickly and reliably. Therefore, this model will not suit you if the speed of all functions is important.

This model is similar to all modern flagship smartphones at the same time. It looks like this:

These are: a bad conversational speaker and a slow scanner, and the device is not protected from dust and moisture.There are also enough pluses: the matrix is ​​made of high-quality material, good autonomy and an excellent main camera. The versatility is also amazing. Fans of "heavy" this "mobile" will fully satisfy.

Sales of this smartphone began on August 5 at a cost of $700 or 46,000 rubles.

If this smartphone does not suit you, you can choose alternative options, but if you want to really surprise, then you will not find analogues. There is not yet a single device that can boast a retractable front camera.
