The giant of the mobile market from the Celestial Empire, Huawei, has presented a new smartphone Nova 5T to the public. In essence, this model should be an improved version of the older sister Nova 5. Due to the rich content, it falls into the flagship segment of the manufacturer.

Like all major manufacturers, the company has not bypassed the latest trend of 2019 - a quad camera. How justified such a technical solution - time will tell. It is quite possible that the quad camera module will become the de facto standard in production, but so far such camera phones are rather an interesting toy. The rear camera is not one, but provided by a block of four pieces. According to the specification, the main module will be with a Sony IMX586 matrix with a resolution of 48 megapixels and f / 1.8 aperture. It is this maximum resolution that the processor supports and all the main modules from competitive manufacturers have.

As for additional cameras, there are differences in their resolution and purpose. The 16 MP secondary module is a wide-angle camera with f/2.2 aperture, which is useful for capturing panoramas and landscapes.

The next 2-megapixel module with an f/2.4 aperture acts as a depth-of-field sensor, and that's what you need for the bokeh effect.Unlike other gadgets with quad modules, the Nova 5T does not offer cameras with a telephoto lens, and the latter module also at 2MP and f / 2.4 will work in macro mode with a fixed focal length of 4 cm.

In terms of body type, Huawei nova 5T is a classic smartphone with a frameless display, all function keys are also placed on the screen.

The fingerprint reader is integrated into the power button on the right edge. Unlocking occurs simultaneously with the power-on process, which is quite convenient. Above the power button is a volume rocker. On the left side there is only a compartment for SIM cards. The bottom edge houses the USB Type-C port, speakerphone and microphone.

A characteristic feature of the model is a block of cameras on the back cover. Three cameras are installed in a vertical row, starting from the top: widescreen 16 megapixels, main 48 megapixels, additional 2 megapixels. Under this block is a flash LED. Due to the desire of manufacturers to reduce the thickness of the case, it is not possible to physically fit the camera optics into the case without protruding above the surface of the back cover. The main and wide-format cameras have 6 lenses each, plus a matrix and a display. And all this is required to fit in an incomplete 8 mm. There is only one way out - to make the camera block protruding above the body.Someone will take this as a design idea, but judging by the reviews of the owners of devices with a similar design, we can conclude that this solution is not very practical. Whatever glass protects the cameras, they will still rub against the pocket, on the surface of the table and scratch.

The color scheme, on the contrary, is successful: the metal case with a glass coating and the Nova brand logo look nice. The device will be produced in three colors: blue, purple and black. Moreover, the purple case is notable for the fact that it has a gradient print with the Nova logo all over the case.
