Initially, we thought that the brand was completely lazy, focusing in the 2020s on quantity, not quality of products. Unfortunately, we cannot say that the new model made a splash with its boldness of form or dimensions. Although the Vivo V17 is bulky (16 centimeters high and 8 centimeters wide), the recently released Vivo V20 is also not small, like millions of other flagships, however, so it takes the device far from design.

Manufacturers skillfully disguised cheap plastic on the case under glass, the bitter truth will appear only after the first scratch. The material is matte, so prints are not afraid of him. In general, the back side looks beautiful with neon colors and an unusual camera position. It is rotated 45 degrees, forming not a square, but a diamond-shaped block. A trifle, but original!

The fingerprint scanner has moved to the display, now unlocking occurs only through the sensor. His reaction is average, sometimes he is too capricious, so you will have to make friends with wiping the screen. Users who have already tried the phone, in general, praise the quality of the display, even taking into account the fact that with a strong inclination, the image gives off greenery. It is interesting to know if the manufacturer replaced Amoled with IPS, we would have to wait much longer for the screen to be unlocked due to the low sensitivity of the latter. Of the minuses, Amoled has a quick burnout and fragility.

However, Vivo's surprises do not end there. The flagship falls into the hands of the buyer, already covered with a factory film, and equipped with an oleophobic coating that prevents 20% of microcracks, and also repels dirt and fingerprints. This smart processor was released in the spring of 2019, and immediately received the name “find of the budget segment”.Its main advantage over previous versions is the high frequency of all 8 cores (up to 2 GHz), and as a result, improved performance. Of these, 4 are high-performance Kryo 260 Gold cores.

With them, the flagship easily plays games at medium settings and videos in 1080 HD resolution. RAM was 8 gigabytes. Applications do not slow down loading or waiting for the system at all. The case, surprisingly, almost does not heat up, and this is the main problem with plastic. Probably, the matter lies in the powerful Adreno 610 video processor. In general, Vivo V17 cannot be put on a par with the best game phones of 2019-2020, but it copes with 3D games with dignity. On the official website, and at all, fast charging is double, which means that the gadget will be fully charged in a maximum of 1.5 hours.

Since the release of the smartphone took place only on December 5 (officially), you can find it only in Chinese online stores. Another thing is that Russia is working closely with Vivo, and very soon the new V17 will appear on the shelves of specialized stores within 20-23 thousand rubles.
