The flagship gaming iQOO 7, with the Qualcomm SoC Snapdragon 888 processor from Vivo, was introduced in early January this year. High performance, fast charging at 120 Hz, instant response to user commands, plus Origin's proprietary add-on - all this inevitably attracted the attention of users. Well, the figure of 752935 points in AnTuTu (the unconditional first place among gaming smartphones in the world) is also impressive.

Standard for smartphones, iQOO is stylish and concise. Slim body with rounded corners and flat screen. The back cover is made of glass, with a square module for the main camera and a silver insert with the brand's logo.
The frame around the perimeter is made of aluminum, according to the manufacturers, the same metal is used in shipbuilding. Whether this fact will affect the functionality or simply increase the cost of the device, company representatives do not report.
The novelty is available in three body colors - textured black, gray and white. The latter, with a red-blue-black stripe on a white background, was created in collaboration with BMW. Whether it will be supplied to the Russian market is still unknown.
The front panel is flat (gamers will appreciate it, there is no distortion when turning the screen), with a good viewing angle, with a round cutout for a selfie camera at the top. The latter is not annoying and is almost invisible when watching a video.
Display - AMOLED, bright enough to see the information on the screen even in bright sunlight, with natural color reproduction. Colors may appear dull when turned on for the first time, but the problem is easily solved by adjusting the settings.
The optical fingerprint scanner, located under the screen, works perfectly without a hitch. There is also a face recognition sensor, if necessary, both sensors can be synchronized (in the settings) for quick unlocking.
On the rear panel there is a square module with three sensors and a company logo on a gray background, on the left side of the volume control button and power on / off. The buttons, by the way, have a textured surface, and the power button is also painted in a contrasting color.
Dimensions 162.2 x 75.8 mm, width - about 9 mm, weight - just over 200 g. The case is narrow, and thanks to the rounded edges of the back panel, it fits comfortably in the hand.
The smartphone runs on the innovative Snapdragon 888, produced using 5-nanometer technology. The device works quickly, without delays and freezes. Watching movies or playing games is a pleasure, if you also consider the built-in game mode with various tactile effects.
The improved technology for accelerating response to user commands deserves special attention, now it will be even more convenient to play. The response of the smartphone to touch is almost instantaneous (sampling frequency 1000 Hz). This indicator raised doubts among users, someone even suggested that the company announced such characteristics to attract attention.
As for the operating system, iQOO 7 comes with version 11 of Android and the proprietary add-on Origin, which by and large is itself a full-fledged operating system that includes:
And a lot of opportunities for the user to customize the smartphone for themselves, plus various useless by and large, but interesting options. Like backlighting around the perimeter of the display with brightness control and color settings.
Switching between interfaces is as simple and convenient as possible, literally with one touch.
The main camera module consists of 3 sensors - one at 48 and two at 13 megapixels. There is autofocus and LED flash. And this is the case when all cameras work out their functions to the fullest, and not just determine the depth or blur the background. The photos are bright and contrasting, and when you turn on the AI mode, the pictures can not even be processed in the editor. The smartphone correctly determines the white balance (in case you are going to shoot snowy landscapes) and produces good quality when shooting in low light. The front camera also shows good results, and stabilization when shooting video allows you to get a smooth picture without jerking.
When shooting in night mode, the quality of photos is noticeably lower. Sensors capture less light, resulting in a blurry image with floating contours. Noises against a dark background, like the night sky, are also noticeable. On the other hand, Vivo does not position iQOO 7 as a camera phone, so the cameras work out their cost at 100%.
The smartphone is equipped with two multimedia stereo speakers that provide excellent sound quality. The volume is also on top, so if you are looking for a universal device on which you can play and listen to music, you should definitely take a closer look at the flagship from Vivo.
Here everything is not very rosy. The battery capacity is only 4000 mAh. A little by modern standards, but enough for about 5 hours of work in game mode. In the call mode, the device will last about a day (according to information from user reviews). When it comes to watching videos, a standard hour and a half movie will eat up about 24% of the battery - not so bad.
To compensate for the battery capacity that is clearly insufficient for high performance and screen refresh rates, manufacturers have included 120 W fast charging in the package, which will reduce the battery recharge time to 15 minutes.
And, yes, nothing will happen to the battery, since the service life is not affected by the charging power, but by the heating of the smartphone itself when the charger is connected. So, after replenishing the charge, the device heats up only up to 38 ℃, charging itself - up to a little over 40 ℃.
The manufacturer did not stint and put in the box not only a smartphone, but also a protective silicone bumper and a film on the display, a charging power supply and a one and a half meter USB cable.
As for the price, the base version with 8GB/128GB storage will cost $560, while the BMV logo design costs $600. A 12GB/256GB smartphone will cost around $740.
Information about when the new product will appear in Russia is not yet available either on the official Vivo website or on large marketplaces of home appliances and electronics. The global version (in Chinese with Russian support, without the possibility of translating some applications) of the smartphone is available for order on Aliexpress. The price for the basic version is 46,000 rubles, for a model with a large amount of memory, 54,000 rubles, excluding customs duties, which will cost about 5,000 rubles. Google services are supported, some Chinese apps can be disabled.
So, judging by the opinions of users, the novelty was able to surprise both performance and fast charging. So if you want to buy a new smartphone for iQOO 7, you should definitely take a closer look.
