Motorola has been known in the world market for a very long time. It was this company that personified the advanced achievements of electronics in the twentieth century.
And Motorola's popularity has earned thanks to achievements in various areas:
The company has come a long way from making rectifiers in 1928 to the golden era of the 90s, when it introduced flip-phones to the world community. But now, Motorola has been taken over by Chinese manufacturer Lenovo, which is hoping to restore cell phone makers to their former glory.
Despite the fact that the Motorola OneZoom flagship camera phone was released at the end of the summer of 2019, the company has not forgotten about ordinary users who are not versed in the latest mobile technologies, and this is encouraging.
More recently, an ultra-budget smartphone has been announced. A minimum of additional features and technological innovations. Let's analyze its strengths and weaknesses, and find out if it makes sense in this purchase today.

Quadruple main camera and main matrix with a resolution of 48 megapixels, this is not about Moto E6 Play. A single rear camera with a fairly average resolution of 13 megapixels today and phase detection autofocus. It's all. No super-wide cameras, no depth sensors and no macro cameras. From this we can conclude about the target audience of this device - people who do not care about the quality of the resulting photos. By and large, the camera for them is more of a nice addition than a necessary tool for everyday use.
Structurally, the matrix is combined into one block with an LED flash. The front camera, oddly enough, is present here. Its resolution is only 5 megapixels.
Let's supplement the profile of the future owner with the following characteristic: he does not like to take selfies. Make a video call or see if your hair is disheveled, the camera is just right. But seriously, indeed, not all users need an extra-class camera in their phone, and even more so, not everyone is ready to pay for it. And Motorola's desire to cover this unpretentious audience with its product is quite understandable.
Like all budget models of smartphones Moto E6 Play is equipped with an IPS type matrix.Yielding in brightness and color saturation to AMOLED displays, IPS wins a lot in terms of production cost.
Diagonal 5.5 inches is optimal for comfortable placement of the device in the hand, and for viewing content.
The screen resolution is HD + and is 720 x 1440 pixels, with an aspect ratio of 18:9. A rather outdated format, manufacturers are now striving to fit their displays to cinematic standards. But let's not be too picky, this smartphone is not created for watching movies. More precisely, you can watch the video on it, but moviegoers will cry bitter tears from the black bars on the screen. The display is not frameless, there is space above and below the screen.
Style. In one word, you can characterize the products manufactured by Motorola Corporation. But in this case, a stylish device can be called a stretch. Ordinary monoblock - the design is nowhere simpler. Of the style left, except that the logo on the rear panel, combined with a fingerprint scanner. The rest is standard.
The right side of the smartphone is given over to the volume rocker and the power button. The SIM card slot is located on the left side. The top edge sheltered a 3.5 mm headphone jack.
And on the bottom of the gadget is a micro USB connector for charging the phone and transferring data. For the sake of low cost, the back cover is made of plastic. There are two colors - black and blue.
What do we have there, a budget model? Then we put a four-core processor Mediatek MT6739.And so it will! It doesn't matter that it is already made using outdated 28 nm technology and is rather voracious in terms of power supply, the main thing is cheap.
The PowerVR GE8100 chip is responsible for the graphics. There are no performance claims here at all. This iron will cope with its duties, but you should not expect something more.
Also forget about modern, resource-hungry games. RAM is set to 2 GB, which is currently the minimum configuration. And the internal drive is set to as much as 32 GB, and moreover, it can be expanded through the use of memory cards. At least in some way the concern for the user was manifested.
By the presence of sensors, there are only a position sensor, acceleration and GPS. Compass and NFC contactless payment module are missing. Protocols for external connection - Wi-Fi and Bluetooth version 4.2.
Everything here is sad. The device is equipped with a replaceable battery with a capacity of 3000 mAh. On the one hand, with a minimum technical configuration, electricity consumption should be reduced. But as noted above, a processor that is not very energy efficient will actively consume battery resources. Plus, the modest capacity of the latter suggests that it is better not to part with the charger for more than one day.
Of course, there can be no talk about the functions of wireless and fast charging. Yes, and normal charging is done through an outdated micro USB connector. Again, users will have to twist the plug in their hands, hoping to connect it correctly to the device.
At the moment, smartphones with the Android 10 system are already being released, but the motorists decided to go the proven route. The ninth version of the operating system with the green robot has proven itself in work, is well debugged and will be supported for a long time. So everything is fine with the operating system.
Moto E6 Play has already entered the shelves in South America. In terms of the currency we understand, the cost of the device is about 110 euros. A lot or a little, it's up to the buyers to decide.
On the one hand, we have a quality brand and a recognizable trademark. On the other hand, mediocre characteristics cast doubt on the appropriateness of this purchase. For the same money, you can pick up a less famous model, but with better characteristics, or find a similar smartphone, but cheaper.
The device will reach the countries of Central Europe no earlier than mid-November. So potential buyers still have time to decide.
A very ambiguous model from a manufacturer with a worldwide reputation. Poor equipment is suitable only for very ascetic users. Young people are unlikely to choose such a device, it is too far behind all the trends of the last year.
In Russian realities, the target audience of this device can only be represented by the older generation 60+, but given the statistics, these people often choose push-button phones. So the future of this device raises concerns about whether it is in vain that it is put into production at all.
Perhaps it will be in demand in the poorest regions of the world, but as noted above, competitors are on the alert, and their devices are cheaper and more productive. The market and time will tell what place the Moto E6 Play will take in history.
