“Meizu is reborn from the ashes” - this is what you can now hear about the once successful company, which almost went bankrupt. One of the stages of the revival was the presentation of a new smartphone - Meizu 16T.

What do you imagine when you hear about a $280 smartphone? Most likely, a device with average parameters and technical characteristics will appear before your eyes. But Meizu decided to surprise, and for a low cost they offer to purchase a flagship gaming device, which will be discussed in this article.

Design and ergonomics

The most important thing in a smartphone is its "stuffing", but despite this, in the first place, most users pay attention to the appearance. Meizu 16T coped with this point of the main selection criteria perfectly.

The novelty has a very noticeable, bright appearance. The classic black and white colors are absent, instead of them, manufacturers offer to enjoy rich color schemes in the form of green, blue-violet and orange. The back panel is covered with a glass surface, on which bright colors shimmer very beautifully.

On the colorful panel in the upper left corner there is a triple module with the main and ultra-wide-angle cameras, a depth sensor. Under the module is an LED flash. The Meizu logo is in the middle of the panel.

The front panel is solid minimalism. The 16T does not support the fashion for a waterdrop notch for the front camera, which will please many consumers. In general, the quality of photos can be called average: natural color reproduction and good detail are pleasing, but night shots have insufficient detail and a lot of noise. Macro photography is also of average photo quality.

1. The first wide sensor is the Sony IMX362 with an equivalent focal length of 24 mm, f/1.9 aperture, 1.4 micron pixel size, and a resolution of 12 megapixels.
2. Samsung 5E9's second ultra-wide-angle sensor with f/2.2 aperture, ¼ sensor size, 1.12µm pixel size and 15mm focal length is expressed in 8MP resolution. The viewing angle of the sensor is 118 degrees.
3. The third sensor for bokeh shots is the Samsung 4H7, which has a resolution of 5 MP, a sensor size of 1/5, a pixel size of 1.12 microns, an aperture of f/1.9 and an equivalent focal length of 23 mm.

16T supports Meizu mCharge 18W fast charging function. Up to 100% battery is charged in less than 2 hours.

In addition to the standard button unlock method, Meizu 16T supports 2 more methods.The first way is to use the front camera, which has a face unlock feature. The second way is to use the fingerprint sensor built into the screen. The recognition angle of the Super mTouch scanner is 360 degrees, the response speed is 0.2 s.

Meizu 16T has two stereo speakers that will provide excellent sound quality, both while listening to music and while playing games. Also, for better immersion in games, manufacturers have installed a linear vibration motor.

Snapdragon 855 octa-core platform works with Kryo 485: 1 core has a clock speed of 2.84 GHz, 3 cores of 2.42 GHz and 4 cores of 1.78 GHz. Adreno 640 is responsible for the graphics.

Meizu 16T is perfect for active games. The fast processor and graphics card can easily handle even the most demanding games. Meizu 16T runs on the proprietary Flyme 8 shell based on Android 9 pie. The updated shell of Flyme 8 has many useful changes, including:

Meizu 16T does not allow you to expand the memory using a memory card, but offers several versions of devices to choose from. There are 3 versions available for buyers:

1. The cheapest version with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal memory will cost $280.
2. The average cost of $ 325 is a modification of 8GB + 128GB.
3. $350 will need to be paid for 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of flash memory.

At the moment, the novelty is only available in China. When to appear in Russia and whether to appear at all is unknown. Since the smartphone supports the global frequency band, it can be ordered directly from China.
