Sony Alpha 6000 digital camera review

Sony Alpha 6000 digital camera review

At the heart of the camera is the same APS-C format CPOM matrix. The Sony A6000 uses a 24 megapixel APS-C format sensor with one of the largest sizes in its class with 179 phase detection sensors. On them, the first two of the four measurements of the proprietary development of focusing - 4D focus are built. The third dimension is the distance to the subject, again thanks to the phase autofocus, the focus is achieved quickly. The fourth dimension, just like in the real world, is time. The camera has predictive tracking of a moving subject.

Main technical characteristics

Even if he disappeared from view for a moment, the camera will still lead him in sharpness. This is especially true for continuous photography. And face detection technology overrides manual focusing in portraits. Video recording is possible in Full HD 60/50 frames per second with autofocus and image stabilization enabled. The camera has an electronic viewfinder made using OLED technology with a resolution of 1.44 megapixels. The screen is not touch-sensitive with a resolution of 921,600 pixels, so the control is only push-button.

As with most mirrorless cameras, E-mount is used to connect the lens. The specification is open, so not only branded lenses, but also from third-party manufacturers are suitable for this device. Also, using adapters, you can connect interchangeable lenses from SLR cameras. To connect external devices, the camera is equipped with a “shoe”, and you can hang more than just a flash on it.
